Community Events
Part of the mission of the Great Plains Rodeo Association is to make the community aware of gay rodeo so they can participate at whatever level they wish. Having our members present at these community events allows us to educate the public about gay rodeo and recruit them as spectators, members, and contestants.

WillowSwish Brunch
Gay campers from Oklahoma and Texas meet up twice a year at Lake Murray in Ardmore Oklahoma for a 4 day camping event. GPRA will be joining End HIV Oklahoma, and the Mandalay Project to provide a fun filled brunch for the hungry campers.

Norman celebrates diversity and gay pride at a one day festival. Join us to get the word out about Gay Rodeo in Oklahoma.

Scissortail Pride Festival
In downtown Oklahoma City, the state celebrates diversity and gay pride at a three-day festival and parade. Join us to get the word out about Gay Rodeo in Oklahoma. You can also bring your pony and ride in the parade with GPRA.
